NEWS! NEWS! NEWS! – Francois Lemaire de Ruffieu Three-day Clinic,13-15 September 2010
One ridden course place now available! Spectator places also available
François Lemaire de Ruffieu will be returning to the UK this September and will continue his work with 12 horses and riders following on from 5 days earlier this year. This is a new format for our UK clinics, allowing horse and rider partnerships to progress from basic in-hand and groundwork through to ridden work from foundations towards the higher levels. François is steeped in the classical tradition, having started his long career in the world famous Cadre Noir at Saumur in France before moving to the USA where he is in great demand as a clinician and trainer. He already has two training books in print, and is currently working on a third, which will explain all the exercises that take a horse from foundations through to high level training. Francois is one of those rare individuals who rides beautifully, and teaches equally well. The three days start on Monday 13th September and each day will feature work on the ground, in hand, lungeing and longlining as well as ridden work. We have a range of horses for Francois to work with, from a 4 year-old backed this year, through to a horse working towards the higher levels, and everything in between. The days start at 10.00 a.m. and will finish approx. 4.30 p.m., although this may be later, depending upon Francois!
The ridden course has only one place available, but we have a limited number of spectator places available for the September clinic, as we will be using New Barn Livery's brand new Indoor school for the first time.
Spectator places are £30 for a full day, or £15 for half a day. Light refreshments will be available to all spectators and lunch may be bought by separate arrangement.
To book a place, e-mail lisapritchard@themodernhorse.co.uk with your name and address and stating what day(s) you would like to come – if half days, please state morning or afternoon (invoices will be raised electronically).

We have classroom facilities and a 60m x 20m outdoor arena where we hold courses for horse owners and those thinking of owning a horse.
BHS Horse Owner's Certificate
BHS Horse Owners Certificate Level One starts Tuesday 7th September. Level two and three courses are still to be arranged.
